Large-scale mineral developments demand all the infrastructure of a town – civil works, housing, roads, airstrips, power and water supplies ,as well as mine-specific facilities such as conveyors, rail lines, ship loaders, wharves, harbors and container terminals.

As a global multi-discipline business ANKER meets the specialised demands of such developments, drawing on a large reserve of skilled engineers and project managers and keeping risks in view and under control with leading project management tools. A commitment to health, safety and environmental sustainability underpins all we do - we strive to set industry benchmarks for creating incident-free work sites and for operating in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner.

Our highly trained teams, under competent and experienced leadership, are equipped to meet all engineering challenges. Our global talent pool is available to meet the requirements of greenfield and asset management projects. We pride ourselves on supplying any skills demand and meeting project deadlines.

We have a strong safety focus, proactively managing the risks associated with our work and striving for continuous improvement to our safety performance. By applying lessons from teams across ANKER’s worldwide network, we ensure that we stay at the forefront of the latest tools, technologies and management systems.

Enabling infra-structure

Infrastructure is a major cost component for mining projects. Mine site facilities must be carefully planned and designed, incorporating safety and sustainability needs, to achieve a return on capital throughout the project life cycle. Part of our strength is derived from our depth of resources developed through providing engineering and optimization services for industrial infrastructure, buildings, ports and harbors, power, water supply, land development, and transportation (road, rail and aviation) projects worldwide.

Underground and surface mine facilities

Our team provides services from concept and feasibility to full EPCM for underground mines and associated surface facilities in both hard rock and coal. We have an extensive track record in rock breaking, crushing, conveying, hoisting and stacking, stockpiling, maintenance facilities, ventilation, dewatering, materials handling and minerals processing. Our mine infra-structure experience also includes power distribution, water supply, haul roads, camp accommodation, controls rooms, maintenance buildings and communications.

Program and project management

We combine an in-depth understanding of our clients individual requirements with risk management, timely communication and robust project controls and reporting. Our flexible approach has been applied across a wide range of industries and project types as well as project phases — across planning, design, procurement, construction and operations. ANKER’s delivery methods include Program Management and Construction Management, alliancing and EPCM.

Mineral processing

Our team has an established capability for the engineering of mineral processing plants, from bulk ore handling, classification, comminution and flotation to concentrate handling services. Working with ANKER colleagues globally, we share and source local insights to ensure our team remains at the forefront of the latest 3-D technologies, tools and simulation package.

Global sourcing

We provide a global sourcing service based in Shanghai, China, delivering clients a range of project benefits. Our experienced Shanghai team can deliver pricing and delivery advantages through its local knowledge of procurement services, materials, plant and equipment. It can achieve these advantages by contracting quality providers that deliver products to meet international standards and specifications. Services include procurement, inspection, expediting and freight forwarding.
